Savanna Monitor

A savanna monitor is a hard lizard to take care of. They require a heat bulb and a UVB (ultra violet bulb). These lizards will eat just about anything you throw at them, they eat crickets eggs meat a wide range of things. They can be mean so be precocious when you try to handle them, the best way is to put your hand in a fist and set it in there for about a minute or two until they now that its not food.  They get very big so you will need about a 50 gallon tank with desert sand, a hide and a basking spot. Below are some pictures of savanna Monitors.
